From Nightfall to Prophecies - Guild Wars Forums

Hi everyone...

I started the game in Nightfall.. and resently bought Prophecies...
We did the quest to enter Prophecies and we walked our way back to ascalon to start the mission there...
BUT... There is no mission there for us...we tried every thing...We went to the Great Northern Wall.. Cus it should be there .. But there is no mission entry ...
What can we do??...

In Prophecies and Factions there is no mission starter NPC like in Nightfall. You start a mission by clicking the "Enter mission" button in the party leader's party list instead, which is present in mission outposts.

Yes i know that .... but there is no mission button when we walk to the northern wall in Ascalon... that is the prob...

In the Wikia it said we should walk back to Ascalon to enter the first mission..
So we went there and searched for the great northern wall .. and we found it in Ascalon .. but when we got there there was no mission possibility in the party window for a mission...
I hope this all makes sence to u .. dunno how to explain better...

Were you the party leader? Only the leader sees the "Enter mission" button.

First off I don't want you to think I'm insulting you okay? I'm just trying to clarify things. You did enter the outpost right? Because to me it sounds like you're still in Ascalon City.

Yes dusky, it sounds like that to me too. The Great Northern Wall is a mission outpost, you get there by going through a portal in Ascalon City. It is a different outpost than Ascalon City, there is no Enter Mission button in Ascalon City.

Mieke, when you look on the world map (M), do you see a seperate towns for Ascalon City and The Great Northern Wall?

I'm 99% sure I did the mission with my Nightfall character. I'll check next time I'm online, and I'll see if you're online too so I might help you.

Yes we are still in Ascalon city as there is no portal to Great northern wall .. there is a sort of pole there with a flag tho.. but that is all ... when i o there nothing happens.. and as far as i can see there is only one portal..

Yes .. that is right .. but there is no portal in ascalon city that leads to The Northern Wall.. only a pole sort of with a flag and when u click it then it says .. The Northern Wall but nothing happens
